What do you use to Launch a Shiny new Arts Centre?

St Peters Adelaide

A shiny new Lectrum lectern of course. When one of South Australia’s leading Girls Schools urgently needed something special for the official opening of their shiny new Arts Centre, the Wilson & Gilkes team went above and beyond.

St Peters Collegiate Girls School in Adelaide is one of South Australia’s leading Girls Schools, with an outstanding record of academic achievement as well as a solid reputation throughout South Australia and around the world. Through BER funding, St Peters Girls commissioned world-renowned architects Hassell to design a new Arts Centre, with a 550-seat auditorium.

With such a stunning new addition to the school Andrew Rosser, the Business Director at the school, wanted to ensure the official opening went off without a hitch. Everything needed to be perfect, right down to the smallest detail. Andrew showed impeccable taste with his selection of the L2001 Aero series Lectrum lectern by Gilkon, with its stunning good looks, exceptional functionality and superior build quality.

With all of this, Andrew still wanted more. He asked for the dress panel and top panel to have a brushed aluminium finish, rather than our traditional fabric finish. As local manufacturers, we are in the unique position to be able to meet such unusual request and work with shorter than usual lead times. The final result was something special and something we were quite proud of. And the launch? Perfect (of course).
