New Apprentice
In an era of skill shortages, Wilson & Gilkes was pleased to have a new apprentice join us in 2022. A skilled work force is critical for Australia’s future, and Wilson & Gilkes is contributing to building that skill.
Donation to Jenolan Caves Rural Fire Brigade
Rural Fire Services in Australia are a vital part of their communities. Fires in 2019 devastated many regional areas of Australia. Jenolan Caves Rural Fire Brigade lost their fire station during that brutal fire period. Wilson & Gilkes was delighted to be able to provide new workshop equipment to the new rebuilt Jenolan Cave Fire station.
Melanoma Awareness
Wilson & Giles team member Geoff Croucher participated in Jay’s Mission Melanoma Walk to raise awareness of melanoma. Wilson & Gilkes was proud to be one of Geoff’s sponsors. One Australian is diagnosed with melanoma every 30 minutes. Australians affected by skin cancer are united for Jay’s Mission Melanoma Walk — over 300 km from Canberra to Sydney — to promote an important message of awareness: get your skin checked and stay sun safe especially for babies.
